Death of a Hummingbird

Here is a sort of melodramatic piano piece I wrote and recorded using Coyle's Garage Band program. Comments appreciated!

  1. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I love this! Oh, you should have made it longer! LOL It's so beautiful and sad, but not too sad. Kind of a evening fading song, if you know what I mean. ANyway, you really should do more.

  2. Listening to it a third time (LOL), the only thing I could think of as far as improvement was about 45 seconds into it when two notes hit almost at the same time but not quite, producing a sort of quick "ba-dum" instead of a "dum". Of course, that might be intentional. :P

  3. Dalu,

LOL, glad you liked it. Thanks for listening! I'm always glad to have positive feed-back! I'm hoping to write more music using a program I recently downloaded (suggested by Todd) and if I come up with anything decent I'll post it here of course. Thanks for the suggested improvement. I think I meant to do that thing at the 45 second mark, although maybe it didn't quite right after all. I also wish I'd come up with a bit more variation on the chord progression. Oh well. Maybe later.

Also thank Coyle for recording this for me!
